Frame purse project day
Our framed purse project day is best undertaken by those that have some experience of using a machine.
This is a gorgeous purse bag that is perfect for make up because of the way that the top stands open with the use of the internal frame. In fact the sturdy opening makes it perfect for a huge variety of uses and I use mine for my crochet.
This is a great intermediate project as you can build your skills using interfacing and fusible fleece which give structure to the purse and you'll learn how to sew and insert your wire frame too.
We'll supply the technical bits; the interfacing, fusible fleece and frame, so that you can spend your time having fun choosing fabrics and a matching 16" closed end zip. The project is best completed in a strong cotton, patchwork weight fabrics are perfect. Inside you have the option of adding one or two pockets. You will need 1 fat quarter for the exterior and 0.5m of fabric for the lining including pockets. (if you would like jazzy contrasting pockets inside bring along a little selection of fabrics to work from).
This workshop is being led by Sarah.
We need a minimum of three people to run this course.
During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
