Get to know your sewing machine 2 - projects day
The perfect follow on course for anyone who has just learnt to use their sewing machine.
During the course of this session we will make 4 great projects all of which make perfect gifts.
Each project builds skills including pattern cutting, seaming, finishing and inserting a zip.
1. The foldaway shopper
For this you will need lightweight cotton or ripstop fabric/shower curtain fabric can work really well too. Please bring 1/2m of full width fabric.
2. Tissue Holder
This works best with normal 100% cotton fabric, patchwork fabrics are ideal and can be bought in handy fat quarters. The case is lined and you need to bring two pieces 20cm by 15cm
3. Zipped pouch
This works best with medium weight 100% cotton fabric. The pouch is lined. Please bring fabric for the outside and lining both at least 30cm by 40cm. You will also need one standard zip at least 26cm long.
4. Notebook cover
This works best with medium weight 100% cotton fabric and is lined (lighter weight cotton). Please bring at least 40cm by 30cm of each.
Please also remember to bring colour matching cotton.
Drinks and biscuits will be available but we recommend that you bring a packed lunch with you.
