Nuno felting

Learn the Japanese technique of Nuno felting, where wool is fused into an open weave fabric such as silk.

You can create interesting textures as the wool felts it ruffles and puckers the fabric.

In this introduction you can choose from a rainbow of coloured wool, experiment with different types of fabric including silks and sequined tulle, and add in different threads and yarns.

We will be concentrating on making a sample piece, but it will be big enough to make into a neck warmer with the addition of a button or other fastening if you want to.

You do need to bring a couple of old towels and an apron but otherwise all working materials and felting wool are included and there will be a selection of colours to choose from.

We need a minimum of three people to run this workshop.

People do cancel and we do hold waiting lists. If the date you would like is full please do contact us and we can add you to the list.

This workshop is being led by Suzy.

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
