We begin with an introduction to the drypoint printmaking process and then move on to create A6 size prints.
There is time for experimentation with tools and texture as well as techniques and then we will then use our pasta maker to print the plates.
You will produce multiple prints of your own design on paper and acquire the skills to continue drypoint printmaking in the future.
This workshop is aimed at beginners to drypoint. Drypoint is not unlike pen and pencil drawings. However, you do not need to be an expert drawer to produce these prints.
All equipment and materials will be provided so you don’t need to bring anything with you. You might like to bring along your sketchbook or any special reference material that you would like to work from. For example an A6 size photo, card or any other image. We will have plenty to inspire you here though, so don’t worry if you don’t have anything particular in mind.
We need a minimum of 3 people to run this workshop and the workshop is open to 10 years and over.
People do cancel and we do hold waiting lists. If the date you would like is full please do contact us and we can add you to the list.
