Welcome and thank you for visiting. This is our home of sewing and craft workshops

Based in Hassocks in Sussex we have a selection of workshops and classes to suit from sewing and knitting to floristry and paper craft. I have a passion for 'sharing and showing' so we  offer beginner and intermediate sessions including individual private lessons. We  also run a wide range of sewing and craft events or parties for both adults and children. You can be sure there'll be something here to suit you.

Not sure you can do it all? Let me help with a professional soft furnishings and curtain making service that helps you create the home you love.

I love sewing but finishing garments can be difficult with only one pair of hands. I also like to experiment, altering garments and patterns, but without someone knowledgeable to bounce ideas around with it's daunting. Procrastination became my friend.
Now I have found a light and airy, well equipped space with friendly people to help and like minded participants to natter with. The Sew Friendly workshops are great. You can even use a garden centre trolley to get your sewing machine to the workshop from your car, but if you prefer Made & Making have machines available on site.

Another great workshop at Made and Making. My daughter always looks forward to the holiday sessions and was thrilled with the bag that she made. Lovely venue and classes are always well organised. The tutors manage to give exactly the right level of support for the children - supporting and guiding as much as needed, but still allowing them the satisfaction of making it themselves

I have attended various sessions at Made and Making and each time I feel I do not want the session to end. All the tutors are so lovely, patient and extremely knowledgeable and most importantly do not make you feel inadequate.

It is my escapism and therapy and I look forward to each session.
