Beginners' patchwork tote bag

In this workshop which is suitable for all you will learn how to make a patchwork tote bag from 5" square scraps of fabric.

During the workshop we will construct the bag outer, quilt the bag, construct the lining and straps and sew the bag together. Its the perfect bag to use to take all your sewing supplies to sewing workshops, or take shopping with you.

You will need to bring :

32 x 5" squares for bag outer

3/4 a metre for lining fabric

2 x 4" x 21" strips for outer bag straps

2 x 20" x 20" pieces of wadding and 1 x  5" x 22" piece

We can supply a sewing machine and basic tools, but do feel free to bring your own. It is a great opportunity to become more comfortable with your own equipment.

A packed lunch!
