Come and learn this traditional patchwork technique with Jenny Jackson
English paper piecing (EPP) uses paper to stabilise fabric pieces that are then hand sewn together to make different patterns. Once used as a way of making quilts out of scraps of old clothing and whatever fabric was to hand it is now seen as a slower, mindful way of piecing patchwork and can be quite addictive! It is also very portable and can be a good way of using up your leftover fabric.
In this workshop you will learn all Jenny's EPP tips and tricks and make a patchwork block that you can go on to make into a cushion or use as a block in a quilt.
You will need to bring 4 fat quarters or an equivalent selection of fabric from your stash. Pieces need to be no smaller than 2 1/2" square. Papers and other equipment will be provided.
You may wish to bring a packed lunch as we will take a short break.
During all our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
People do cancel and we do hold waiting lists. If the date you would like is full please do contact us and we can add you to the list.
