We're taking one of our popular classes online. This class will be delivered live on Zoom.
This is a really fun project and bewarned, they are comepltely addictive to make!
During the session we will insert a professioanl lapped zip for the back fo your cushion (don't worry I will hold your hand every step of the way) and have some fun learning some basic patchwork and quilting techniques. This project is suitable for anyone who can use the basics of a sewing machine.
You will need:
(Kits are being provided by The Stitching Post - scroll down for further info)
9 x 2.5inch jelly roll strip (44 inches wide). ( A whole jelly roll makes approx 5 of these cushion fronts). This is a great stashbuster project.
1 x 10cm square piece of the fabric for the centre
1/2m of fabric or a piece approx 17" wide x 20" tall for the back of the cushion.
Cotton to match, we do suggest at least two normal size reels as this project does eat thread.
A zip at least a 45cm/18"
A peice of wadding or felt 50cm square
We have collaborated with online fabric retailed The Stithcing Post who has put together two selections of fabric if you would like to purchase a kit. If you do purchase a kit from The Stitching Post please let us know and we will refund you £5. Click the pic below to purchase the corresponding kit.
The workshop is led by Sarah.
