As well as learning how to construct a bag with base and zip pocket, skills transferable to fabric, you will spend the day learning all about working with leather. From cutting, bonding stabilisers and stitching leather to using hardware such as rivets and zips. You will also learn how to burnish the raw edge of leather, a lovely finishing technique.
All leather, tools, bag making suppplies and hardware are provided. However to make your bag your own you are required to bring along a piece of fabric for the lining. This should be a medium to light weight fabric would be ideal. You will need half a metre.
