Continuation of 2020 quilt-a-long only

There is nothing nicer than sewing in company and sharing a project. So, for 2020, we are so excited to be announcing a quilt along (QAL).

We are delighted to be able to offer the Summer Sampler, put together by Lee Heinrich and 16 other designers, and are inviting you to join Louise and Sarah as they work their way through 21 stunning blocks to create an amazing sampler quilt.

We are going to launch the quilt along with a full day of sewing and then run monthly sessions from 1:30-4:30pm once a month;

Your initial payment covers the first 6 sessions, including the launch day, a full colour copy of the detailed instructions for all of the blocks and a presentation folder.

The QAL is aimed at adventurous beginners upwards and tackles a variety of skills from half square triangles and foundation paper piecing to curves and Y seams. Each block is the creation of a different designer and the patterns were released to be completed remotely. This makes them incredibly detailed, easy to follow and perfect for the adventurous beginner upwards.

The idea behind the sessions is that we are all working on the same quilt but you can come and work on a block of your choosing working at your own pace.  The best bit.... you will be in a studio full of advice and companionship. These are not structured taught sessions but sessions with plenty of help and support. We'll supply simple sewing kits, rotary cutters and boards, even a machine if you need one.  Plus there will be lots of tea, coffee and biscuits.

To complete the blocks you are going to need to buy approx 10yds of fabric and full fabric requirements will be emailed out once you are booked in. (Scroll down to see examples of quilts already being worked on around the world). Full colour copies of the detailed pattern instructions will be available for collection from the studio by arrangement prior to the launch day.

Spaces are limited so BOOK NOW!  Book just sessions 1-6 or, sort yourself for the year and buy sessions 7-11 as well.

During all of our workshops photographs are taken for promotional purposes only. Please make us aware at the time of booking if you would prefer not to be included.
